"The Nightingale" Panel Summary
On July 22, 2012, La Jolla Playhouse held a panel discussion regarding the casting of their Page To Stage production of "The Nightingale". Though the musical is set in China, only 2 Asian Americans were cast in a company of 12. AAPAC Steering Committee Members, Cindy Cheung and Christine Toy Johnson, were invited to discuss the the lack of Asian actors in their "multi cultural" cast.
